When plans for the Nature and Science sessions of the S-GAS first started, none of us (Willow, Karen, Ana, and myself) were quite sure what kind of event it would be. But it didn't take us long to realize that our little portion of this huge collaborative project would serve as sort of a vacation for all the game-aware Sims traveling across multiple hard drives. A vacation from attending some emotionally heavy sessions. Sure we hoped everyone would learn a thing or two while here, but mostly we just hope everyone enjoyed themselves - Sims and Simmers alike.
It's that mindset that led to our final session transforming to a very informal gathering around a campfire. The event was originally supposed to be just a handful of Sims signed up to learn about different recipes that they could cook over a fire - with a little fire safety thrown in.
Instead, everyone decided to join us by the fire. Those from the original sign-ups who were feeling adventurous roasted some beetles that Willow and Emelia caught in Granite falls. Everyone else stuck hot dogs (or veggie dogs if they were so inclined).

But the cooking and the food were not what the night was really about. I think everyone was happier just enjoying the moment, their final night together here at the Lodge-Podge. Even the lonerSims in the group didn't mind the crowd tonight. They weren't all strangers anymore after all. Even Fey seemed to enjoy herself tonight. Maybe she found herself able to relate a little better with Sims that are game-aware just like here. Or maybe she's just happy to know she'll be heading back home.
Everyone was enjoying themselves so much that after the beetles and the hot dogs were gone, they gathered back around the fire to roast some marshmallows. Those that couldn't fit around the fire hung back and enjoyed some relaxed conversation.
