Little did Ana know when she offered to host a nature-themed painting party, that it would be the most popular event amongst the Sims attending the Nature & Science retreat. Twelve Sims in total signed up. We managed to squeeze enough easels for everyone on a flower-lined patch of grass at the Lodge-Podge.
I was surprised to see that Ana was slightly nervous on the morning of the event. The reason was clear once everyone was gathered and ready to start painting.

I can do this. I can do this. I can do this. This was Ana's internal chant to herself. Twelve Sims can't be much harder to manage than nine kids... Of course, I never had to juggle all nine at once.
Yes, you can do this. You can, because you're an amazing Sim, Ana. Plus I'm here to help. If you need a break, just let me know, and I'll hit the pause button, okay?
Thanks, Carewren. I might take you up on that. Is it time to get this thing started?
Whenever you're ready, Ana.

"Good morning, everyone! I'm so excited to see each of the paintings you all create today. As you can see there are a variety of landscape paintings set up behind me. Feel free to choose any of them to recreate on your own canvas - Oh, plum, I forgot the canvases."
Karen: "No worries, Ana! We each have canvas ISWPs at the ready just waiting for us to place them on the easels. When we're ready to paint they'll be there. It comes naturally to us all."
Ana: "Oh... of course. Sorry, this all is seems so new to me sometimes. And, seriously how was I so oblivious to those sorts of things before... Okay... what was I saying?... Oh yes!
So you can choose one of the example paintings if you want, but you can also paint a different scene if you're inspired to do so. There certainly is plenty of inspiration around us. But I do recommend sticking with one of the examples if you're a beginner.
No matter what landscape you choose to paint, I want you all to remember: the most important thing is to enjoy the process. I'm not one to believe that there's only one correct technique, just do what feels comfortable for you. Alright, ladies and gentlemen... Ready... Set... Paint!!!"
"Oh, but remember it's not a race!"

"Okay, now keep those brushes moving everyone. I'm going to start making my way around the group. I'll take a look at each of your paintings. I can offer advice and answer any questions, if you want or need me to."
