Evan was very quick to volunteer when Karen opened the floor for questions. He hand shot in the air before anyone else.
Evan: "How can a building just plop out of nowhere onto the ground?"
Joel: "That's a great question."
Bill: "Hm..."
Karen: "Well Evan, I'm glad you asked that question. The thorough answer involves some formulas that only theoretical physicists seem to really understand. To simplify Simbert Einstein's theory of relativity, the relationship between time and space is relative. When Build/Buy Mode is activated time seems to come to a stop for us Sims, but for the player time continues moving forward. The player can spend hours altering our space - that is, building a house - but we don't see the effects until time goes back to normal - the player heads back into Live Mode. When that happens the house seems appears out of thin air to our Sim senses. This phenomenon is oversimplified by many. Even our players toss around the word 'paused'."
Evan: "I get it. Space-time relativity, of course! Excellent explanation, Karen."
Joel: "I've always wanted to know... How is a Sims' lifespan compared to a Player's?""
Karen: "Fire away."
Free-Jon: "What is genetics?"
Karen: "That's a specific kind of science. It's the study of how different traits are passed from parents to their kids."
"Are there any more questions?"
Karen looked directly at Bill as she asked this question. He seemed interested enough in everyone's questions. Surely he had one or two of his own.
"Now unless we have any last questions..."
CathyTea, JordanNicole, AkramA/MarkArch, and SummerFalls I loved your questions
and I hope you loved my answers. lol***
***Thanks also go to Bilmonaghan. I guess I took what you said in your registration
and ran with that idea. It inspired an added touch of humor. I hope you liked what I did.***
