I had arranged for the Granite Falls campsite to be all set up for our group before they arrived. The lot was equipped with pretty much anything a Sim could desire on a camping trip. As soon as everyone arrived Willow announced that everybody was free to do whatever camping activity they were interested in.
Everyone dispersed. The Pace sisters wandered off, possibly to talk to some lonely trees. Willow and Ana went to go check in at the ranger station. The Wolff-Teas went in search of some wild plants to collect. Ikey built a fire. Mikey went to claim a tent. Jamie went for a hike. And Emelia grilled some veggie dogs.

By the time the food was done, Willow had made her way back to camp.
Willow: "What in the world are you doing, Emelia?"
Emelia: "Taking a picture of my food, what does it look like?"

Willow: "No that's what it looked like. I just didn't know why."
Emelia: "Hey, I'm kind of proud of this hot dog. I've never done much cooking before. Plus it was on a grill in the middle of Granite Falls. It's a bit of a moment for me."
Willow: "Sorry, you're right. Go ahead and do what you do, girl."
After she finished eating, Emelia went looking for some insects to collect. And after that she played around with the chess board, but only for a little while, no one else seemed to interested in chess tonight.

While Elder, Cathy, and Free-Jon were out collecting, Free-Jon learned a valuable lesson.
Elder: "You might not want to actually stand in the middle of the plant, son."
Cathy: "Especially if you don't know what it is."
Free-Jon: "Why not? I'm a superduperleafygreen-halfboy-halfplant-boy."

Cathy: "Well, mister if you'll step back I'll explain."
Reluctantly Free-Jon did as his mother asked.
Cathy: "You know there are some plants wild plants that can cause an uncomfortable moodlet. You could get a stinging rash from some plants, like fireleaf. Lucky for you this plant has little purplish-blue berries. So it's not fireleaf. But unless you want to have a rash you'll need to check before climbing in the plant, next time."
Free-Jon: "Oki-doki super mom. Roger that. Message received. That's an affirmative. Now, can I resume mission, branchy-leaf-boy-plant-dude?"

When they finished collecting plant specimen Cathy and Elder managed to convince Mr. Adventure into pausing his games and joining them around the fire.
Shortly after, Willow took a seat near the fire and just sat and watched everyone else. All the while thinking happy thoughts.
Willow: I'm so glad I got to do this. Sharing what I love with other lovely Sims, and seeing them enjoy it... it's been even better than I imagined.

Not long after Willow took her seat, Mikey wandered over to the fire and picked up a guitar.
And before long his audience grew. Ikey would be lying if he said he wasn't a little amused by his twin. He had to turn his back so Mikey wouldn't see him laughing, but at least he didn't make fun of him.
How long is Mikey going to torture himself, though. As Jamie joined the group around the fire, she wished she could think of a way to ask Mikey to give all their ears a break without hurting his feelings.
When Cindy and Crystal joined Cathy, Elder, and Free-Jon at the fire and joined the marshmallow roast, Jamie had an idea.
JRose: "Mikey, do you want some s'mores? Why don't you come sit with us? There's plenty of marshmallows."
While very tactful of her, I think Mikey still knew her real intent. He knew how horrible it had sounded and wondered why he even decided to pick the instrument up in the first place.

Fortunately Mikey's confidence can't be squashed that easily. As soon as everyone was gathered around the fire, he had already mostly forgotten about his foolish experiment with the guitar.
It was a very enjoyable night. There's nothing like roasting marshmallows and eating s'mores by a campfire.
Cathy, Elder, and Free-Jon were the first to call it a night. The fire kept going as slowly the campers called it a night one by one and headed to their tents for the night.

Willow, of course, stayed up even though she was getting pretty tired. As the leader of this trip she felt it was her responsibility to put the fire out when everyone was done. Preventing forest fires and all that. She sat in the fold-up bench waiting for everyone else to retire for the night.
She was joined by Mikey as the others headed to their tents. And the Pace sisters, not quite ready for sleep, sat on one of the log benches chatting.

Cindy: Look at this beautiful night sky. Isn't it amazing?
Crystal: I can't concentrate on the night sky I see these red eyes staring at me from the woods.
Cindy: You are imaging things I see nothing. Just enjoy being outside our home lot. Nature is a thing of beauty.
Crystal: You are right. This place is beautiful I hope one day to come back and visit.
Cindy: Me too Sis.
About that time, Willow seemed to realize that she and Mikey were practically alone.
It's safe to say that Mikey had the same realization.
It was another of those moments they had during the days of full autonomy before the sessions truly began. Potentially romantic, peeking at each other through the corners of their eyes, can't keep the smiles off of their faces kind of moment. I think they both know the potential, but neither can seem to make the first move.
Then, in true Mikey fashion he breaks the tension of the moment.
Mikey: "Them marshmallows got a Sim bubbling up right now. It's about to be hammer time for real. You may want to run for cover, girl. If I fart by this campfire I'mma blow this forest so far out that Smokey the Bear gon' change to Charcoal the Bear."

Willow: "Omigosh! Mikey, you fool! I - can't - breathe - from - laughing - too - hard."
After taking a few seconds to stifle her giggles, she adds her on touch of humor to the ridiculous conversation.
Willow: "Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Mikey the Mighty Wind. He can't blast a hole in a seat and slaughter an entire campsite in a single blow. 'BBBLPLPLBLPFFFFT!!!' and 'KABOOM!!!' "

After laughing a little louder than they'd meant too.
Willow: "Oops. I guess we should keep it down. Some people are trying to sleep. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard."
Mikey: "You puttin' the fire out, now?"
Willow: "I don't know. You tell me. Do I really need to?"
Mikey: "Nah, I'll behave."
And so their conversation shifted to slightly less ridiculous topics. Truth be told Mikey found it a little hard to get a word in with as much and as passionately as Willow was talking (she predictably began to enthuse about the outdoors again).

Willow: "Well it's getting pretty late, and we have to be up early in the morning. I'll put that fire out now. Good night, Mikey. See you in the morning."
